Welcome & Introductions

Presentation

Robert Scott, Commissioner, NH Public Utilities Commission (NH PUC); Karen Cramton, Director, Sustainable Energy Division, NH PUC will be joining us to discuss the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) and Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS) in New Hampshire. Each will provide a brief history; the current status of each program and identify what’s next and what we might expect during the upcoming legislative session.

Discussion

Jim Roche, President, Business and Industry Association, will be joining the committee to discuss an upcoming, policy committee reconfiguration. BIA is planning on combining its Energy & Telecommunications Policy Committee and Environmental Affairs Committee. The new committee will be charged with deliberating over energy compliance and energy challenges and developing recommendations for BIA’s advocacy work. Moving forward telecommunications issues will be addressed by BIA’s Economic Development Policy Committee. These changes will occur in January 2017.

Other Business

The committee will review BIA’s preliminary agenda and identify moderators for BIA’s December 8, 2016 NH Energy Symposium (Please note the date change).
