BIA's Emerging Leader Training Powered by Sojourn Partners

Registration for the Class of 2022 will be available in September of 2021.  Please email Lora McMahon to get your name on our email list for up to date information.

Our emerging leaders and capable employees represent the future of our organizations, and leadership skills are in more demand than ever. How to communicate, influence, work with various teams, think strategically, and leading change are critical with the new realities we continue to face.  Virtual programs with Sojourn Partners are interactive and experiential regardless of format. Each session is designed to engage participants in discussion and application of the material into their day to day challenges. Participants login and use video and audio to participate and are customized to meet the culture and needs of the participants.
Interactive virtual sessions will include for impact:

  • Facilitated lessons and discussions of content
  • Larger Group Discussion and Instruction: Facilitator presents material & whole group collaboration
  • Virtual Easel Work: Small Breakout Rooms: 2-4 participants deepen and apply learning by either practicing skills on real-time challenges or integrating material into something that will be applied back in their workplace
  • Individual support, coaching around material
  • Technical support as required for full interaction and emersion with the class
  • Email with handouts and additional resources
Applicants may include existing managers, supervisors or solo contributors who have a potential of advancement in the management and leaderships skills to be applied to your organizations. We will help them build their management muscle, and help prepare them for success.

Interactive sessions will be twice per month for 2.5 hours and will consist of the following breakdown of subjects:
Meeting #1 (9/10/20, 9:00-11:30am):  Leadership Purpose 
Meeting #2 (9/24/20, 9:00-11:30am): Leadership Purpose
Meeting #3 (10/08/20, 9:00-11:30am):  Interpersonal Management
Meeting #4 (10/22/20, 9:00-11:30am):  Interpersonal Communication
Meeting #5 (11/12/20, 9:00-11:30am): Strategy
Meeting #6 (12/3/20, 9:00-11:30am) Change Management
Meeting #7 (12/17/20, 9:00-11:30am):  Interconnection
Meeting #8 (1/7/20, 9:00-11:30am): Culture
Meeting #9 (1/21/21, 9:00-11:30am):  Influencing
Meeting #10 (2/4/21, 9:00-11:30am):  Motivation
Meeting #11 (2/11/21, 9:00-1pm):  Integration & Graduation

Your Investment
$3,000/person all-inclusive for 6-month program for BIA members. The cost for future BIA members is $3,500 per person. BIA members who send more than one participant qualify for a 10% discount per person. Participation is strongly encouraged for all six sessions. Space is very limited.
